Good news

I got it. I got the job. Now I'll be working for the C u m b e r l a n d C o u n t y D i s t r i c t A t t o r n e y' s office. It's pretty much the job I've been wanting for a long time now. It's gonna be so cool. Their internship program is so cool, and so hands on. By this time next year I'll be prosecuting my own cases. An added bonus is that it's a paid internship. I'm soooooo excited. Another added bonus is that I don't have to look for a summer job. The internships starts in May and it lasts a year. Another plus is that they look to the intern pool first when looking to hire new attorneys so this could lead into another job. I am so excited that I won't have to do security this summer while working some unpaid internship.

In other news, Jess and I saw The Departed last night and it was quite awesome. It was one of the best movies I've seen this year. Leonardo DiCaprio finally proved once again that he can act. In fact, I thought he did a better job than Matt Damon. If you're at all thinking about seeing this movie, go see it.

The reason Jess and I went to the movies was because our anniversary was this week. October 11. That was both the day we started dating and the day I asked her to marry me (2 years later). So that's two years we've been dating and four years we've been together. Well, before you know it we'll be married.

A couple of things . . .

Once again I start writing with no agenda. Halloween is coming. Jess decorated our apartment today. She does a pretty good job. Wouldn't want to let her know this, but I actually really enjoy the way she gets into the spirit. Even if it's 30 days away.

Her parents came up today. It was nice to see them. Her brother is going to be moving to florida to go to school for nautical mechanic stuff. Fixing boats and whatnot. He seems to enjoy the prospect. It'll be good for him to get out into the world since he graduated from highschool a while ago.

Right now I should be writing a direct examination for trial practice class, but I'm taking a break from that. They can be so tedious sometimes because you have to be careful how you ask the questions and what order you put them in. The prep for the class may be tough, but the in class participation is fun. I can't wait for it to be real. I desparately want to be in the court room. I want to own it.

I should get back to my prep.
